Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption

  1. The most frustrating thing I found in the book was the amount of deaths caused by poorly constructed planes, and the rate at which they happened. One ground crewman wrote, "That's the way it has to be played because that's the way it is-it's an everyday occurrence." The military is losing men every single day because of something they are doing incorrectly. If they were to fix the planes, American troops would still be alive and able to fight to win the war.
